Forest stands.
We could do a massive collage http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/galleries/g ... e_of_frogs
People throughout the day would just randomly cut and get new stuff on the collage.
We could do the Blender Russian Roulette.
Random ingredients, blended together.
If you guess them all we'll give you. Erm. A badge. Good job.
We could do the drawing-doodling-scribbling-therapy.
I love customizing/vandalizing colouring books, got one today, 100 pages for a pound, dead easy and lots of fun.
We could have a free-shop in there.
We could have a wall of useless facts. People would write useless world trivia in there and, by the end of the day, the least useful fact would win and we'll give you. Uh. Yeah. A badge. Or two. Keep up the good work.
We could have Instant Impersonation Booth. We'll provide some random pieces of clothing, make-up, other random accessories and you would have 5 minutes to become & convince us they are someone we all know. We could do it as a contest with two people doing it simultaneously competing with each other or just take photos and chose a winner by the end of the day. We definitely need to make those badges.

Pulling out Forest publications from the lock-up tomorrow for the upcoming events. They can go on the stall as well.
Here's the thread re badge companies, http://www.theforest.org.uk/bb/viewtopi ... ges#p46350. Might also be worth a quick web search for "badges Edinburgh" as well.

If we want those badges, we need to order them now...
I know that Lien contacted the mybadge guys this afternoon, probably waiting for a reply. But if we want them done by the 27th, we need to send in designs tomorrow.
So, yeah. If any of you has any beautiful artwork done that we could use for Forest badges please feel free to email them to me or Lien (or pm links to some pics, whatever might work...).

HOw about using Stephen's Reforestation logo or Martin's Forest one? Or are they too big to look good on a badge?

We talked about not using logos for this one, people won't buy the ones with the Forest logo (on the Spring Fling, it was the ones with the cat that were really popular), particularly if we're talking about freshers who've never been to the Forest. But I really like the poster for this event, we could use it.

Okay, the files look weird in here.
But you get the general idea.

Badges 1, 7 & 9 for me. Surely for Freshers we can use the magic tree image? If only to help them stay fresh for the weekend.

So, we got a reply from the badgers (yes). If we send the designs today, the badges will be dispatched on Saturday and if all goes well we might them on time for the 27th. If all goes less well, at least for the Ceilidh.
These will be the designs sent:

Re: Reforestation 27th of september @ medina
So, yeah.
These will be the final four.
Problem: none of us has a UK bank account because money is evil and so are those ugly-haircut-people and we have no way of paying these. Anyone with a UK card can help on this?
It would be £18,49 for everything as the p&p is free.

Well done to all involved in the planning & the organising. On the end the event raised £992 after a few expenses were taken care of. Brilliant stuff, Catherine, Darla & Emma - you're brilliant & wonderful.
