we should be running this:

Berlin, Germany, July 5: Gianluca Sirc ponders his next move during the world chess-boxing championships. A match between two opponents consists of up to 11 alternating rounds of boxing and chess. Competitors may win by knockout or checkmate

I just found out about this last week and it sounds great. 4 mins chess, 2 mins boxing, you can lose by KO, checkmate or chess clock running out. The world heavy weight championship was defending his title last weekend in Germany.

The best thing about this sport? apparently it actually came from a comic, and someone thought it sounded cool and did it for real.
