The Library Needs You!!!

Post by yasmin » Wed Sep 21, 2005 1:47 pm

Oh la...

The forest library is about to undergo a major revamp, but this cannot happen without your help!... It's simple:

1 - You tell me what books/mags/zines/newsletters you recommend/are-madly-in-love-with/would-think-it-cool-if-everyone-had-free-access-to.
2 - I get on people's backs to give us said books/mags/zines/newsletters for free.
3 - They oblige.
4 - The forest library grows and blossoms and we all live happily ever after, spreading the joy of wisdom to all who come our way.
5 - We take over the world.*

So please please - Even if you think it's obvious, suggest it! If it's not an obvious suggestion, even better... But anything will do. You can email me, or write a wee list and pop it in the wee box in the library corner.

Mercy boo coup.

Yasmin ;-)

* Step 5 is optional.

Yasmin...

Can we donate books and magazines?

Perhaps we could have a donations box to help get the library of the ground. Any crap received doesn't need to be kept. You never know what treasures we might get.

'Resurgence' is a pretty good magazine on art/spirituality/ecology etc and you might be able to get a suscription in return for an article, because they have a 'grassroots' section which is all about community based stuff, which forest is made to be in!

positive news is also cool, and i think may even be free, though im not certain, im pretty sure it's free with some other purlications, eg living lightly, which is also good.

edit: also i just returned a very good book to a fried which is called 'one straw revolution' and is about natural farming, but very well done and a nice book, bit of a classic as well.

Hi, are you guys still wanting books for the library? There has been lots of move at the flat and there is a pile of books we were going to take to charity shops. but you can have them and look throught hem yourself if you like? Not sure what they are though, could be mostly fiction.
