Best Song about Touring EVER:

Post by ravanwin » Tue Dec 05, 2006 3:46 pm

I'd say, hands down, Bob Seegar's
"Turn the Page."

It totally shows how frustrating a long mega-rock and roll tour can be!

It's great.

"homeward bound" - simon & garfunkel

"but all my words come back to me in shades of mediocrity"
they call us winsome, but we're just hopeless

dude, canned heat's song is about traveling but it's not about the TOUR!

Homeward Bound is totally wussy and doesn't nearly rock as hard or whinge as much as seeger or williams.

you guys are totally wrong.

You're right about Williams rocking hard and Seeger whinging.

It probably isn't Skynyrd's What's your name:
It's eight o'clock in Boise Idaho
Ill find my limo driver
Mister, take us to the show
I done made some plans for later on tonight
Ill find a little queen
And I know I can treat her right.
Note to self, never use Idaho in a rhyme. But it might be The Ramone's Touring:
Touring, touring, is never boring Touring, touring, is never boring
Touring, touring, is never boring Touring, touring, oh baby,
touring
Especially with your favorite girl Touring, touring, all around the
world

How could I forget the Kinks (covered by The Thoughts) All Night Stand. Well worth 12c on allofmp3.com.
Because Im not to blame,
For the things that Ive been doing.
You all say that Im bad,
And Ill only end in ruin.

All night stand,
With a different girl each night.
All night stand,
With two hundred miles to ride.
