Yeah, it's another one of those weird ones. From what I understand due to the nature of electricity (i.e. it's just a constant stream of movement, one wouldn't be definately getting the push of electricity from the wind turbine) when buying green energy it's more supporting the principle.

Green energy
What's our situation on potentially buying green energy?
I know through looking at the minutes we're looking at efficiency, which is amazing in itself. Thanks.
However, are we able to afford green energy yet?
Just a thought, Alex*

Food sourcing
*Bill* has started a thread on our sourcing and organicismicness of our supplies.
I started replying to it in the Kitchen BB before toddling over here. Please reply to this in the Ktichen BB (as I've already started to).
Thanks, Alex*

I'm having a look to see if there's an appropriate Organic supplier for the fruit and veg. As far as I'm aware we used to get stuff from a certain company, and the product wasn't that great. Things like the lettuce didn't last at all. I think this was an issue with the quality of the stuff we were g...

Food sourcing
This is a post from *Bill*, I've moved it from another thread. so, the forest says that it does its best to source food locally and organically? does it? personally this is really important to me and is a reason that many people are willing to work and support the cafe. the cafe spents alot of money...

I've found the machine a bit inconvenient where it is at the moment, it's a bit overbearing and bulky. However, it is really pretty. I can't wait to start using it! Are we able to find space where the useless wheelie thing is to the urns/rice maker in? Maybe we could build a specific Baket Potato st...

It's not like me to be pessimistic, but I think we're lucky that people put recycling in the bins at all. If we're gonna seperate it at all I second the fact we need to really make it clear, obvious and patronising. Maybe? Then again, given the opportunity and something more systematic than sticking...

I don't really get it. Can we not give them a price range? Oh, i just read their last review. http://www.list.co.uk/restaurants/everywhere/everything/venue,1008/w,the+forest/venue/detail.php It's not too bad! And not totally wrong. I say around £5 if they're wanting an average. Maybe we should work ...

I agree it's cool to close up the kitchen for this. Maybe prep some sandwiches or that too so there's more substantial stuff to sell between films. Maybe a good idea to mark it on the rota to make sure people don't sign up for a dancing about shift when it's a quieter one. I suggest we make stickers...

I second a specified popcorn seller. I think we should get Swithun a little dress and a box with a strap. I can't think of anything else to make my film experience better. Anyway, I'm assuming it's cheap to make popcorn, were we selling it for too much? Maybe only do it as a small mark up. And, if y...

I think you've just got to make sure there's *enough* filling, it's something different and there's some nice lubrication to help it slide nicely down yer throat. Maybe we should get more sauces/jams/conserves. We could sell a good old scottish favourite of jam pieces for 20p! And, there's no harm i...
Wet cake
Just spoke to the lovely lady who's in charge of making our cakes (07720 838584) and apparently the bakery's flooded. They're trying to get tradespeople out to fix various things and should hopefully be back in business within one to two weeks. I said I'd wait for her to get in touch with us. She'll...

Forest Chill Party 23rd December, before we close?
Hey Kids, I'm Kitchen Managing on the Sat 23rd, which is the last day we open before Yuleoween. I was wondering if people are going to be around would they like to do something nice and chilled and twee and fun? I'm not suggesting a big, late, off your face night, but I'll be there throughout the da...
