Forest-Bongo Advertising

HI! I need somewhere to keep a record of my correspondance with outside organisations regarding Forest, so I thought I'd leave this letter to Barney at the Bongo here. Nick's the secretary isn't he? Should I just send a carbon copy of letters to him? Anyway here's the letter.... Hi there Barney and ...

P.A.

I have a 60 Watt P.a. system ( the one that got used last year in the festival ), that could be used as long as people looked after it. In the past, it wasn't properly looked after and one of the inputs is now broken along with the reverb spring. As a sign of respect it would be nice if someone coul...

Return of the timewaster diaries

Awesome. Very similar comedy style to Ben Lancaster's reading at the last Golden hour where he wrote this long letter to the makers of Cheeto's cheese puffs disgusted by the lack of danger in their "dangerously cheesy cheese puffs".

Working/Volunteering at Festivals

Hi! I'm considering volunteering for Buddhafield cafe this summer at a festival or so and I wondered if anyone else was thinking about it? You don't have to do a massive amount of work in return for free tickets and food. I'm wondering if If there was any space in a car? Check here if you're interes...

Go for it!

I think this is a great idea. Go for it. I'm really into the idea of artwork that's interactive like this. The idea of mooving the thing to different areas of the cafe once a certain amount of interest has been generated is cool too.

Yup..

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I don't want to kill someone's art work, unless they most definately don't want it any more. Maybe people might want to hold onto their tables, give them to friends or sell them to make way for new designs? There is a guy called Kenny who works uplfting the excess from cha...

The Plan so far

O.k. We are good to go with the table. This project is an open collaboration. After asking most of the people in the cafe, who seemed like they were interested we decided to base the design for the table loosely around the concept of peace. There is going to be a sun in the middle and the sunrays wi...

Table-top design

Is it cool if I do something with one of the tables? Either a rectangular one in the main room or a square one in the red room. I'm into the idea of letting the idea for what the design is, grow out of the Forest by adding bits of imagery ( drawings/bits of writing/collage/paint/whatever ) as and wh...

Promoting Forest Artists

I think it we should have more active promotion of Forest Artists. We could have a little stand of c.d.'s at the counter where people could buy c.d.'s of people who have played here recently and a list or "menu" of other c.d.'s available. There seems to be so much talent in Edinburgh which...

I've posted this in the front of house too, cos I think it probably concerns both groups. I was thinking it would be cool to have the toilets redone. Upload icons missing

The site has changed since I was last using it. There are no longer any icons to upload new content. Pogo suggests trying another computer. Without regular access to a computer which can do this, or fixing the site so I can upload, then I can't help out with the website.

Sounds like what's going on is much the same as what Bryonie was doing with the politics group ages ago. Why not just call it "politics" work group? Or a funky forestised work for the same thing if it seems like too much of a scary word. "Local action" maybe?.. I think "Comm...

Hand drummer wanted for folky gigs..

Hi!
My friend Kenny and me play at Forest here and there and every Sunday night at the Leftbank. We're looking to meet someone who is an ace hand-drummer, if you can sing some soft backing vocals for certain songs too, that would be awesome. You can hear some of my acoustic tunes at http://www.myspace.com/dannymakesmusic.

Hi!
If you are an AMAZING DJ... Band.. Electronic Music Guru...then I could really use your help getting some bouncy missions off the ground.. I'm thinking some sort of uplifting hip-hop/reggae/drum'n'bass thing. I sing, rap, make beats and I need your help to bring it together.

An old uninteresting discussion about a c.d.

Hi! <br> I REALLY want to record a good radio quality c.d. of some of my acoustic stuff. I have been to music college and have some experience of these things. I can ...
