Fringe Show Recommendations

Post by Gandhi » Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:29 pm

Ok thought I'd start a thread for people to recommend shows they have seen.

I have seen one show so far and that was Mark Thomas' The Manifesto. He was brilliant. Very funny and interesting too. The show is based on the idea that at each show the audience is asked to write down their ideas for a people's manifesto (can be serious or silly) which he will be presenting to parliament at a future date (the MSP's on the 17th of August). Then he talks about the ideas and shares some of his political hijinks stories with us then the audience votes for the best manifesto idea (i didn't win unfortunately). It also looks like the person who wins each evening gets to go with Mark to the manifesto talk with the MSP's. It's a great show. I also recommend reading his books! Oh and by the end of the show you may have been convinced to invade Jersey...those bastards!
It's like God's vagina!
