Vollie Party/Away days Meeting Tues 8th Sept 7:30pm.
Vollie Party/Away days Meeting Tues 8th Sept 7:30pm.
Yo,
We decided at the Cafe and Events meeting that we could have a trip away rather than a party in Forest. We have a bit more in the budget as we haven't had vollie parties every month recently.
We're having a meeting to discuss more about it. Come with ideas of where we could go. Outdoors preferably (I think). What we could do. To discuss transport etc.
Tues 8th at 7:30pm. Come!

well, you had a good suggestion about going by the sea for the weekend. That seemed rather nice, I think.

I know the volunteer budget is building up. But spending it on a holiday for a few volunteers isn't what I would do with it. Only a small number of people would be able to go, compared to the large number that could turn up to a volunteer party. And there are plenty of people I wouldn't want to be stuck in a bothie with, so it would be a bit of an excluding event. 48 people enjoyed the keg party and it only cost us 2 pounds per head.
But I missed the meeting, so maybe the question is when, not if.

The money won't be spent on a holiday for a few people, nor is the money to be blown at once. The place I had in mind is relatively easy to get to, not so far away. We can plan something more local in Forest for the next vollie party, and leave this till later on so more people can prepare, save up (people will have to find their own transport or have it subsidised or we could hire a minibus?) and attend.

sounds good, how much money are we talking about?
Maybe it could work? But it will be a kaleidoscopic blend of mysterious shadows and rainbow hued-dreams seen through compassionate tears.

i would like to see more of Scotland, whilst I'm here, and I think this kind of trip would be a very strong bonding experience for those going... Debate though seems to be going.
