meadows tent

hi -

we have a tent at the meadows festival. we'll be selling beer and we'll have a music tent as well.

the festival is june 7 and 8th from noon till 5 pm.

if you wanna help organize this give us a shout! thanks.

rota should be from 11am - 6pm, I guess. We may need set up help either late fri or early sat. not sure which.

I'm in for setting up too. Not comfortable serving, but could hang around for a while to help keep things tidy/litter free.

So is there a rota yet? I'm happy to do a whole day at the bar, or half of one day then half on the next, or maybe all or most of both days if pushed. Depends how many other people want to be on the bar and how many we need on the bar at a time. I like the idea of serving beer on the meadows all day. I get to drink some beer too right?

I'll make a rota and people can sign up in person or phone in or something. How about:

both days? I've no idea about pitching the tent, guarding the beer overnight, putting a float together, staff discounts. Some things could be discussed somewhere else.

Will someone be around on Saturday who actually knows how to pull a pint? I'm signed up, but I've never done this before. Australians seem good at it, so how hard can it be?

I'll be there from 11am to help out, but didn't want to put my name down for a shift as I am not comfortable serving alcohol (i hate asking for id and being asked by smartasses for my own id in return!!).

I will be there to help set up and help collect empty cups though.

By the way, where is the tent going to be? The Meadows's big!
I'm up for setting it up, do we meet at Forest before hand to pick things up and take them there?

We should rendezvous at the Forest at 10.30, so we can roll the barrels down to the Meadows and get a float together.
