OAK is cunted

Post by ChaoticReality » Thu Feb 05, 2009 2:41 pm

Hi,

Oak, in the action room, appears to have a dying hard drive. I've run lots of low-level tests and they all say bad things. A lot of blocks/sectors aren't even responding to query (with a response timeout of 5 minutes) and fsck claims to have fixed a lot of errors but then more reappear on reboot.

Probably needs replacing, don't think there's anything we can do.

Cheers,
Mike

Not yet.

I need the key(s) for the security locks first, which requires me being around at the same time as Lynne.

This is a moot point of course, as the computers have no power till we relocate them.

Apparently it's okay to run the computers and printer in the action room now.

I saw that today, so I'll try and get the key for the locks and swap the disk out
