Anyone up for giving English lessons to our volunteers?

Post by Catalina » Thu Mar 24, 2011 5:47 pm

Hey there

Is anyone up for giving weekly English lessons to our volunteer Alba, from Spain? Or maybe even hold an English workshop if they are interested and have the time.
Or if maybe someone knows any free classes held anywhere in Edinburgh, that would also be of great help!

Thanks

I would love to, but I don't think I have the time at the moment. Hope someone can help, but in the meantime, adults can often make good use of books and resources aimed at children (could be a good use of those children's books in the free shop!). Here are some websites that might be useful:

this links to good games and resources for developing vocabulary and grammar (for children, but all perfectly valid and correct):
http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk ... /index.htm

and this is a nice website for English vocabulary and grammar practise:
http://www.freerice.com/
- click on 'Change subject' to switch between vocabulary and grammar
(you also donate rice to the World Food Programme as you play)

This is a very useful website of resources for adults learning English:
http://www.manythings.org/

Hope that's of some help
