Saber saw? For upcoming workshop.

Post by milk » Mon Jan 12, 2009 1:19 pm

does anyone know where i might be able to borrow a saber saw from for a short while or three?

fudge and i would like to run a workshop at some point in the next few months making hank drums (which is why there's two gas cannisters in the action room that we'd like to do tests with (that i'll get shifted somewhere more discrete like a the workshop shortly)).

A jigsaw might be what you are looking for. have you emptied the gas canisters?

we do have a jigsaw...

it is a super-economy/pound-shop model.

it might not like cutting steel too much.

I will ask mattgreen tonight for H&S assessment.

yeah there was definately a jigsaw in the workshop and i believe there is a whole bunch of blades.
I haven't been in there a while but am certain there is a big beast of a saber saw in there too! It's got a bright yellow handle and looks mean.
It's like God's vagina!

fudge says a jigsaw should be ok, nix isn't so sure but is willing to believe it'll work.

shall look at jigsaw blade prices soon - anyone care to say if there's anything specific i should be looking for re these?
