Re: Meeting this Sunday: 7pm
I think the plastic bag protest has been moved to the Action WG, and Nerea might be along to talk about it. Part of the plastic bag thing is to give away cotton bags as an alternative - a plastic bag amnesty, where people can turn them in without fear of prosecution, and get a nice cotton one instead.
But cotton bags don't grow on trees. If you want to make them, it takes ages, and it is hard to find much good cheap material. So I found a supplier, which sells bags for 25p each. Sweet. This is cheaper than we can make them, and they are already made. It is a win win situation.
If you sell 125 of them for a pound in the shop, you can do what you like with the rest. Screen printing them might be expensive and time consuming. But spray painting and stencils would be cheaper and quicker.
