food not bombs in the kitchen?

Post by Shannon » Thu Jan 17, 2008 12:31 pm

Some folks are working on putting together another food not bombs event this month, and would like to know if they can use the Forest kitchen to prepare their foodstuffs. They did this in November for Buy Nothing Day and it worked out really well.

I would open up for them at 7am, and they would be finished and cleaned up by 10am to start with normal morning prep. They are hoping to make this a monthly event, so this would continue on into the future, if possible.

If there aren't objections I'll let them know it's alright.

I think that's great. People were taking stuff from the free shop today to use for it to, maybe with a bit of encouragement they could help solve the problem people feel we have with an overflowing free shop?

FNB are going to the grass market this Saturday - could they use the Forest kitchen again? I could let them in if the locks haven't been changed.
