The Amazing, World Famous, Forest Fringe Freak-Out Fundraise

All,

as you may or may not know, the forest makes nearly ALL the money it takes to survive and stay open during the month of August.

Also, you may or may not know, August is the month of most fun in the space as it is chock-a-block with cool artists and internationals who are shocked / excited / orgamsic / blown away by finding such a truly alternative, non-capitalistic, artistic space in the middle of all the corporate "Fringey Fringe". Daily volunteers are told by strangers, "Thank you, this place is amazing!"

As such, it is essential that we have our best face on and that means having our best and favorite volunteers around as much as possible to help out. We have some late nights ahead of us, with amazing parties till 3am, we have art instillations, films, music and more and all of it for free. Imagine if this was your first time in Edinburgh, wouldn't the Forest amaze you. Now is the time to re-kindle the joy your first found in The Forest and to pass it on to the unsuspecting tourist!

Please, sign up for shifts. We have plenty and the more people working, the easier it is for everyone. Breaks are plentiful, customers tell you how amazing you are and the tips are pretty sweet.

Please sign up for shifts. Please sign up for shifts. Please sign up for shifts.

It is very important to the existence of the space that we have as many people signed on as possible. The cops could shut us down just for not having enough stafff. Think about that!

Hope to see you partying working hanging out for the rest of the summer.

Yeah, remember the later at night shifts aren't as hectic as daytimes can be sometimes. You can totally chill, pop open beer, hand people sandwiches, make people laugh, check out the festival eye candy, take in some artyarty stuff, clean up a bit and, well, enjoy yourself.

There are Night Managers and Events Managers on in the evening to make sure you will be safe while you're working, take care of misdemeanorists etc.

It keeps the space open financially for the rest of the year. Super important, super grateful.
