Singing event for International Women's Day

Please find attached and pasted below information about an informal singing evening to celebrate international women's day. I hope some of you can come and do bring a song if you feel so inclined. And do feel free to forward to anyone who may be interested, all are welcome irrespective of gender! Please note as well that donations will be going to a very worthwhile organisation so if you are unable to come you can still contribute.

Community Foundation for South Sinai
Any donations from the event will be given to the Community Foundation for South Sinai, to help with food shortages caused by the recent revolution in Egypt .
If you can't attend, please consider making a donation via the Edinburgh Peace & Justice Centre in an envelope marked 'Penny - South Sinai Foundation'. Cheques can be made payable to 'South Sinai Foundation'.
The Community Foundation for South Sinai is a small non-profit organisation working towards sustainable development for Bedouin communities in South Sinai, Egypt . Sinai is a desert, and life for its people can be very tough, isolated and uncertain. In part due to their isolation and nomadic tradition, Bedouin communities have found themselves marginalised from mainland Egypt , politically, economically and socially.
The recent mass demonstrations in Egypt are bringing much needed change to its people, but have unfortunately severely disrupted food supplies to Sinai. At the height of the disruption, food packages were even being smuggled into Sinai from Gaza ! Although food is now getting through, the most vulnerable people are often unable to access it.
Particularly at risk are elderly women. The Foundation will use any donations we receive to deliver food packages to vulnerable women, to tide them over until food supplies return to a normal level. A little goes a long way in Egypt , and all donations will be gratefully received.
