This is fixed. We had to run a new cable through the ceiling. We used the longest one we had, which was only just long enough. It's still a bit exposed in the hall. Unfortunately, I will need to drill a hole through part of the pulpit thingy in order to be able to get the cable out of harm's way. I ...

Re: New Forest website beta testing
Ok, I deleted the blog thing from the front page. This poses a couple of questions: 1. Do we want to support people to maintain blogs on the site? I would suggest no, as most blogs are full of complete & utter twat, and they are rarely updated after the first couple of entries. 2. If we do have blog...

Removing the navigation block at the bottom meant that no 'full content editors' (who don't get the admin menu at the top) could see the links for 'Create content', 'Logout', etc. I've reverted this. Sorry about that. It looked awful before. Looks slightly better now, but still seems entirely point...

Would be good to get the mishmash going again. The idea of this is to have a gallery with a relatively small amount (maybe 50) of photos which are all completely different, completely crazy, and covering the full range of forest's existence and activities. This might be a good way to start off the p...

If we're going to keep some of that wood, more junk will need to be removed from the workshop. I'm hoping to get rid of the slushie machine at some point. Jane has agreed to take it off our hands. We have also had to deal with hacks at the forest. The bb has been taken down, so has the blog we used to run. It's fine; we dealt with it. You can also use a thing like this to check for broken links. There are loads, but probably the most important one to fix is the Events one (http://theforest.org.uk/calendar), which returns "page not found".milk wrote: i'll be monitoring the top 404s and creating redirects to existing pages.

Browsing the new site in Safari, I'm getting a slight issue with the size. I'm finding a lot of the text is too small to read without putting my face right up to the screen. When signing up for the website, it pushes the user to choose a strong password. I think this is a bad thing and will discourage people from logging in because of problems with forgotten passwords. Yes, these are good points. I totally agree. I think the administrators login form should definitely not be the first element after the title bar on the front page! Is forest records still alive? I have an album of Danny's all ready to be released. All I need is some CD cases (we had a load of these at some point; dunno if they got used yet), and the use of a printer. I'd also like to know what to put on the packaging - ie forest records logo? Distro number etc?

Is there a way to view the messages online, ie without receiving them by email?
I went to the forest speaks info page and clicked on Forestspeaks Archives... all I got was a blank page.
Incidentally, does anyone know how many subscribers it has?
