If you are putting yet more bookshelves in and taking some seating away, I'm concerned about where people who want to chat will go when there's a quiet event on in the cafe (e.g a film) as we often ask people who want to make noise to move to the front room.

I think it'd be good to get the laptop an internet connection (last I checked the wireless card it had was gone), get it a static IP, and run sshd on it, then we can make backups remotely with rsync. Milk asked me today to host the Forest website on my server.
I can do this for free and can create and activate the account and all the stuff we need (DNS/FTP/HTTP/SSH/Mail) in 10 minutes.
It also means it will be easier to keep stuff (PHP etc) up-to-date and without fees.
