IMPORTANT FOR TONIGHT'S EVENT: DVD Remote
Does anyone know if the DVD player has a remote control for it?
Methinks the DVD player currently wired up is different from the one yesterday. Why was it switched does anyone know?
Hmmmm, so many mysteries.

Help needed tonight
Do you want to make a gay man very happy?
There are two ways. One would be to help me out in the kitchen today. We need people 5-10, then night shifts too. Give us a call if you can help.
The second...you're too young to know.

Apologies, I meant to say it was for opinion and not action when I first wrote it. I have edited. It is surely a more promenent issue for another WG, was brought up in Volunteering when discussing ways to make Forest know, particularly for potential volunteers. This is the only forum i can put a pol...

Forest MySpace Account
As discussed at a recent (tonight's) Volunteer WGroup meeting... Should the Forest keep a MySpace page? Some people may thing it's grand and useful, but others find it's evil and thus even uttering the word 'Forest' will go against their personal Karma. But, who votes the most? ****** No decisions w...

Milky Milk
The Super Ethical Milkman came today. He bounced along to Super Girl Romantic Boy before entering discussions. I adore him already. Do we want milk deliveries Mon, Wed, Fri? How much? Apparently semi-skimmed should give us good froth. Or another type. I can't remember. Basically, shall we try get al...

I was given the impression that I should leave it alone becasue people who know what to do, people will have a delecate system for various plants, we don't want to overwater or overwork things that don't need it etc etc. Whereas some of us have intution and knowledge, some of us lack either/both ski...

The buget for throws etc. was for £50, given to Office Cleaning Ninjas from a buget that hadn't been used previously. I think what Blue particularly is feeling on this subject is the burn out FX which came up quite a bit this weekend. We see things, we get right into them, it's amazing and really im...

In the true Forest way, I think we need to give the consumers as little choice as possible. Either we 1) Say as much fruit as we have (and say whatever we're stocking on the blackboard or whatever) you can fit in 2/3 of a pint glass, then topped up with fruit juice we usually stock, or milk, or spad...

I think it's a *bad idea* to serve salads and whatnots from the display fridge. This is because my brain can't see how it works. So, do it and see how well it works. If it's functional I'm all for it. A* (I think we should make all the thickies/smoothies vegan. Just to save hassle. Bring on the barr...

1/3) I have *never* seen falafel outside of the wooden bowl. Nor olives outside of the ceramic one. Weird. I irregullarly put salads in display fridge. Maybe just keep three salads where we usually do and use them as appropriate. I think it's good to have two fancy salads so if two people order meal...

Forest newsletter
So, the 'mouthpiece of the forest' CIA Nights, is not publishing regularly these days. And for good reason we'll all see in the near future i hope. For now there is no newsletter of any kinds. Volunteer
Tomorrow, there's an amazing Volunteer party tomorrow at the Forest (Tues 15th) from 6pm onwards.
Card games. Maybe a prize for something.
Creamy Vegan spagetti, free for volunteers. YUM!!!
Chilling out, shiffling, dealing happiness. Learn bridge. Find the scabby queen! Poke her.

Are you getting confused with the tabletops? We agreed at the vollie meeting anyone could make those, and place them around the cafe. This is just the one side of A4 to give to volunteers when they come in for their first shift. Basic info, but also making people aware that there's more to the place...

I think our best bet is to try and get a ludicrous 1 million pound grant to buy and upgrade Bristo Place. We know this building is good for us, and we'd be laughing if we didn't have to pay any rent. Even if we got less than a million, we could still potentially do it, because we'd have sufficient ...
