Sweeet!! I have so often felt the same way after a night shift at the forest. This is what made the place so amazingly brilliant for me. You can forget all the stupid meetings and organisational stuff. Nothing beats being in the midst of a great night when everybody comes together to create the best...

Re: Forest Action Team
My description of how people came to be in the FWG is entirely accurate. All of this was done via a process of consensus decision making. FAT was by no means an afterthought. You should know, Ken, as you were at the meeting in which it was established and you agreed to it, as did everyone present. I...

Hello. I'm surprised no-one else has answered this so far. As someone who was involved in setting up the FAT, I can provide some background info. Previous to the FAT, forest was run by a group called the forest working group (FWG). The FWG was a fairly exclusive little group. Access was gained eithe...

Good survey. They have this question:
I said:How would you like to see Edinburgh's nighttime economy change in the next few years? Are there any types of venue you would like to see introduced?
More community-run, non-commercial venues would be good.

What is the story with the hinge? Do we still have it? I think I got that hinge in the hardware shop on Bread Street. Maybe we can get another one from the same place.
Did the screws just pull out of the frame, or did the hinge itself break?

Here is a revised faq I did a few weeks ago due to the other one being a bit too long. I don't think it ever made it onto the site. Q: Why does Forest need my help? A: We run a successful business and charity, which is not-for-profit. It’s important to note, that we DO make a profit, and we DO pay r...

This record will be kept by me in my home (so no ran...

Very much like the colour and improved readability. I suspect the removal of many jokes and much innuendo will not be popular, not to mention the nicknames all the dishes had. The Handsome Jack, for example, must always be the Handsome Jack as this is named after one of our dear, departed friends. I...

I think the general disorganisation of the tea is one of the worst things about working in the kitchen.
