Scotmid IS a co-operative. If you ask at any branch they will give you a form to fill in to join. When you do that, everytime you buy something there, it goes towards a dividend which you get periodically. The co-op is owned by it's members. It is never a good idea to post information here unless yo...

Do we still have access on 29 and 30? I thought the lease ended on 28th. They had a joiner round to change the locks first thing when they kicked the crew out of the roxy.

ok, had a look. cable to box is live. I couldn't open the input fuseholder, I suspect it has overheated and melted, so in the first instance we need to open the box and replace the fuseholder. Maplins will have them if we dont.
Didnt look further, but I think that may do the trick

I have previously solved a similar problem by taking a cash box, drilling some holes for cables, inserting the unit and screwing it to the wall. That tends to stump the ungodly!

I had hoped to stay out of this debate, but Neil's version of these events is so partisan that it needs response. I doubt anyone disputes that FWG was a mess. Neil's account of how people came to be invited to join the group somehow gives the impression that there was some inherent defect in the way...

make basement painting day a general action day. The cafe could do with some floor maintenance, and I'm sure there is other stuff. Let's get a list and figure out what could be done around the essential floor stuff and co-ordinate it. It could be amazing!

How frequently could we organise an event like this? Could we do it once a month? or two or three months? As you do more of these, you get better at it, and make even more money. Also there is nothing better for an organisation than people coming together like this to achieve common goals AND it rai...

it might be handy to try the membership of the RSA and the SSA as these folks, almost by definition, sell for cash. I read somewhere that total debts are around 4million and that 300,000 was the annual loss over some years. (were the trustees asleep?) flash photography is totally shite to shoot parties. It is socially and artistically disruptive and produces bland washed out images. You need either an slr with a wide aperture and very fast film - (3200 asa) or a digital camera with similar abilities. Ban flash photography at arty events! K x
